Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role performs hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

Training is provided with a two-week paid Academy out of state; travel expenses are covered and per diem is provided. This role offers strong safety focus and opportunities for growth within a leading environmental services company.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• On-call emergency response availability, including weekends/holidays.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Compliance with respiratory protection standards (OSHA).
• Commitment to safety and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and tools with PPE.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
