Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is hiring a Field Services Technician I to join a safety-focused team. The role involves field work for hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Training at the two-week Academy is required and paid, possibly out of state. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour with benefits including health coverage after 30 days, 401(k) with company match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• Willing to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required by position.
• Facial hair standards may apply per respirator requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and working safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and powered industrial tools.
• Wear and use PPE correctly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors/outdoors and in potentially hazardous environments.
• Possess ability to be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter vessels or containers as needed.
