Job summary

Clean Harbors in Denton, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will perform tasks in the field related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

New hires attend a two-week paid Academy training (out of state possible; expenses covered). We offer strong health benefits after 30 days, a 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• Emergency response involvement and on-call rotations; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully pass a background check, drug test and medical exam as required.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the primary goal by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment; use hand and powered tools; manage vibration-producing tools.
• Wear and use PPE correctly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in varied temperatures and outdoor/indoor environments in all weather.
• Assist in field sampling and meter calibration as needed.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access tanks, trucks and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating schedule and support site remediation.
