Job summary

Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company, in Greenville, SC, seeks a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team in the field, performing hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and decontamination tasks. You will be involved in demanding fieldwork with PPE and heavy equipment, with on-call emergency response on a rotating schedule.

New hires attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses are paid and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Valid Driver's license
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities
• Position includes emergency response; on-call rotating schedule
• Background check, drug test and physical required
• OSHA respiratory protection standards awareness (facial hair)

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects
• Operate light and heavy equipment and a variety of hand tools
• Wear and use PPE (respirators, skin, face, hand, foot protection)
• Work in varied temperatures indoors and outdoors
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste and conduct waste sampling
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis
• Site remediation, equipment decontamination, hazardous materials handling
