Job summary

Republic Services in Ogden, UT is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate various light and heavy equipment at a hazardous waste treatment processing facility or landfill. You will assist in off-loading trucks, stabilize and handle waste, and support treatment processes while maintaining equipment and site safety.

Responsibilities include sampling post-treated materials for lab testing, loading materials for shipment, and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in off-loading trucks and unloading waste.
• Operate equipment to stabilize and handle waste.
• Process treatment of materials and containers.
• Sample post-treated materials for testing by laboratory.
• Load cleared post-treatment materials for shipment to landfill or disposal.
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment and housekeeping.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
