Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Fresno, CA to safely operate light and heavy equipment in a hazardous waste treatment processing facility or landfill. You will assist in off-loading trucks, handling waste, and supporting material processing.

Responsibilities include operating machinery, performing basic vehicle inspections, and executing preventative maintenance while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 40-hour HAZWOPER (with 8-hour refresher) or ability to pass course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in off-loading trucks and unloading waste.
• Operates equipment to stabilize and handle waste.
• Processes treatment of materials and containers.
• Samples post-treated materials for testing by laboratory.
• Loads cleared post-treatment materials for shipment to landfill or disposal.
• Performs general preventative maintenance to equipment and general housekeeping.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
