Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate light and heavy equipment in a hazardous waste treatment processing facility or landfill. You will work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to safe waste handling and environmental responsibility.

As part of the role, you will assist in off-loading trucks, stabilize waste, sample post-treated materials, and perform routine maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Demonstrates safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in off-loading trucks and unloading waste.
• Operate equipment to stabilize and handle waste.
• Process treatment of materials and containers.
• Sample post-treated materials for testing by laboratory.
• Load cleared post-treatment materials for shipment to landfill or disposal.
