Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Hardware Technician II to join our RIS I team in Columbia, Maryland. The role provides Tier 2/3 on-site and remote support for PCs, servers, printers, and conferencing equipment to keep government networks productive and secure.

You will perform site surveys, prepare installation schedules, and collaborate with IT teams and vendors to deploy hardware, test configurations, and document changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.
• 8570 Certification; Security+ certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and 3 support for workstations, servers, printers, and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely.
• Conduct comprehensive site surveys and prepare detailed documentation and diagrams.
• Analyze hardware requirements and develop specifications for procurement and installation schedules.
• Prepare site installation/test reports and support network upgrade initiatives.
• Build and install specialized interconnecting cables as needed.
• Train site personnel on proper use and maintenance of hardware.
