AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, MD is seeking a Hardware Technician II to deliver Tier 2/3 hardware support for workstations, servers and peripherals on-site and remotely. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and a minimum 5 days on-site presence, no relocation offered.

You will conduct site surveys, prepare installation schedules, and train site personnel while maintaining secure IT environments and documentation. The position offers extensive benefits and a structured shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–5 years IT experience.
• Experience installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
• Proficient in Windows OS hardening, security patches, and AD security policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 and 3 hardware support for workstations, servers, printers and teleconferencing equipment on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test hardware to minimize downtime.
• Conduct site surveys to assess configurations and user requirements.
• Prepare installation schedules and technical specifications for hardware procurement.
• Document installation and test reports.
• Support network upgrade initiatives by installing new hardware and cabling.
• Train site personnel on hardware usage and maintenance.
• Maintain fiber optic modems, multiplexers, cables, and telephone systems.
