Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a hardware security-focused leader in Raleigh, North Carolina, within the Security & Trust Organization.

You will analyze high-level architectures down to silicon and guide cross-functional teams to deliver secure hardware solutions. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in hardware security, RoT, secure boot, and leading engineering initiatives; familiarity with hyperscaler architectures and standards groups (OCP, SONiC) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
• Proven experience leading security initiatives and mentoring engineers
• Background in hardware development and hardware security concepts such as RoT, secure boot, cryptographic acceleration

Responsibilities

• Provide security requirements and architectural guidance to hardware design teams and third-party vendors
• Lead security evaluations, design reviews, and compliance workstreams across hardware programs
• Review designs, schematics, and datasheets to identify threats and compliance gaps
• Develop security requirements, threat models, and engineering specifications for internal/external use
• Engage with external standards groups (e.g., OCP, SONiC) and align with industry standards
