Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Computer Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and image desktop and laptop hardware, including Chromebooks and charging carts, for district devices. The role supports the service center and coordinates returns under warranty as needed.

Asap start for a full-time, 12 months/year schedule, you will work within the district IT team to ensure reliable operations, manage repairs, and document work and parts used. Benefits are included per district policy.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized or technical training beyond high school is required.
• 3 years of experience in computer or similar technical troubleshooting and repair.
• CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform module, board, and component level troubleshooting and repairs of all tech hardware at the service center, including desktops, displays, laptops, Chromebooks, charging carts, stations, and document cameras.
• Image or re-image computers as required by repair procedures.
• Determine if symptoms are hardware or software issues and troubleshoot to resolution.
• Research repair problem issues and determine best solutions for new or unseen hardware failures.
• Source repair parts and evaluate value and performance relative to total cost of ownership.
