Goodwill Houston is seeking a Hard Lines Merchandising Specialist to sort and price donated hard goods for the sales floor. You will assess items, apply pricing guidelines, and help keep backroom flow efficient while assisting donors and customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and personalities.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and grade hard goods donations to maximize production.
• Research merchandise value using pricing guides, Google Lens, and resell platforms.
• Identify items for eCommerce processing and escalate to the manager on duty as needed.
• Use PPE properly, including cut-resistant gloves, while on duty.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and request supplies as needed.
• Assist with unloading donations and loading/unloading equipment; support safety and housekeeping.
