Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Houston is seeking a Hard Lines Merchandising Specialist in Katy, TX. You will sort hardline donations, price items per guidelines, and process donations to maximize profitability in support of our mission.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 40 lbs and occasional heavier items, with a part-time schedule and open availability. Prior retail experience is helpful and reliable transportation is a must.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to communicate and interact well with diverse personalities.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Adheres to safety, loss prevention and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Research merchandise value using current GWH baseline pricing guides or online sources.
• Price merchandise according to GWH guidelines.
• Sort and process donations; rotate stock.
• Assist customers with basic questions about store operations.
• Support floor merchandising of donated items.
• Ensure safety and security of team members and property.
• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
