Goodwill Houston is seeking a Soft Line Merchandising Specialist to sort soft line donations, price items, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor. You will ensure items are properly hung by department and organized by size, supporting efficient store operations and profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sort soft goods (clothing, linens, etc.) according to GWH guidelines to maximize production.
• Price merchandise by using the current GWH baseline pricing guidelines.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, merchandising, and competitive pricing.
• Carefully inspect all items to ensure they meet GWH quality standards.
• Hang all approved sorted goods on appropriate hangers and in size order by department.
• Assist customers with basic questions about store operations and merchandise.
• Receive and record donations as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise as needed.
• Perform necessary janitorial and housekeeping duties.
• Support floor recovery and general store operations as assigned.
