Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Soft Lines Merchandising Specialist to sort donated apparel and linens, hang items by department and size, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor. The role emphasizes efficiency, safety, and teamwork within the Donated Goods Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with diverse customers and staff.
• Excellent customer service and retail experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Sort soft goods donations (clothing, linens, etc.) to maximize production.
• Hang sorted goods and organize by department and size.
• Price items according to pricing guidelines and tag with points.
• Operate donation processing and PPE as required; maintain safety standards.
• Keep backroom clean and organized; assist with floor recovery and customer questions.
