Job summary

Volt is seeking a Handyman in Fremont, CA to perform maintenance across multiple properties, including plumbing, appliance installation, painting, and basic carpentry. You will fix CCTV cameras, network connections, pull cables, and handle routine repairs.

Safe operation of equipment like forklifts is required. The ideal candidate has proven handyman experience, owns reliable transportation, and can read instructions and blueprints.

Volt is immediately hiring a Handyman in Fremont, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on our properties, such as fixing plumbing issues, installing appliances, painting walls, pulling cables.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various properties, such as fixing CCTV cameras, network connections, making network cables, replacing light bulbs, building furniture and equipment, pulling cables, etc.
• Safely operate equipment such as a forklift or lift.
• Assist other tradespeople with more complex projects, such as electrical wiring, HVAC installation, or carpentry work.
• Report any major issues or damages that require further attention or professional intervention.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Follow safety guidelines and regulations when performing tasks.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
• Transportation to and from work as well as between buildings.
• Working knowledge of different tools and equipment, such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.
• Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and getting work done efficiently and safely.
• Detail oriented and good organization skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Monday - Friday - 8:30am to 5:15pm

Contract Type

Payrate

$22.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE
