Volt is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Austin, Texas 78759 for a full-time onsite role. You will deliver product features by researching, designing, developing, and documenting, and you will collaborate on design discussions and code architecture with the team.

The ideal candidate has a BS in computer science or engineering, 5+ years of software development, strong C++, and experience with Windows and Linux drivers, plus embedded and kernel concepts.

As an Embedded Software, you will:

• Deliver product features by participating in research, design, development, and documentation efforts.

• Specify, design, and implement new product features.
• Troubleshoot product defects and work with team to resolve successfully.

This is a full-time contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering (or similar).
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Object oriented programming and proficiency in C++.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux OS drivers.
• Understanding of good software design and computer architecture principles including:
  • Operating system components and design
  • Familiarity with embedded, kernel or low-level hardware/software integration
  • Data structures
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience with testing frameworks.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering (or similar)

This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.

Pay range: $58.00 to $66.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
