Lidl US is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Newark to support the Store Manager by coaching the store team and delivering Lidl’s high-quality, low-price shopping experience. The role emphasizes proactive leadership, frontline customer service, and visible ownership of store performance.

The successful candidate will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and drive improvement across KPIs, merchandising, and safety while maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive leadership style and focus on coaching and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to work to their full potential.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the lead point of contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and drive continuous improvement of store KPIs.
• Lead essential team projects such as weekly promotional store sets and merchandising.
• Support operational tasks including cash management, stocking, cleaning, and other store functions.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and productive environment for all employees.
