Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Broward County to assist the on-site management of a community construction project. You will help schedule and supervise subcontractors, monitor quality, cost control, and enforce safety standards.

Responsibilities include homeowner walkthroughs, inspections, and ensuring the home is delivered on time and within budget while providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors and homeowners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to 2 years of related experience.
• Must be able to read plans and other construction documents.
• Require minimum supervision and ability to create a systematic approach.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes daily to assure workmanship quality and alignment with plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walkthrough and closing to ensure readiness.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and ensure homeowner satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors and cost control measures.
• Enforce site safety programs and subcontractor compliance.
• Maintain DR Horton cleanliness standards on sites.
• Support construction schedule to deliver high-quality product on time and within budget.
• Provide excellent customer service during all construction phases.
• Develop relations with subcontractors and homeowners.

Education
