Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help manage community job sites and ensure quality construction. You will assist in scheduling, supervising subcontractors, and maintaining safety and standards to deliver homes on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes customer service, site coordination, and effective communication with homeowners and trade partners on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to drive among sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction; reads plans.
• Proficient with MS Office and email; mobile apps use.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes daily for quality and plan conformance.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes with homeowners; note repairs.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and satisfaction walks.
• Assist Superintendent in subcontractor management and safety.
• Enforce site safety and cleanliness standards.
• Manage materials to prevent damage and waste.
• Support construction schedule and budget delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout build.
• Develop relations with subcontractors and homeowners.
