D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the management of community job sites, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery of homes. The role involves coordinating subs, inspections, and homeowner walks, while upholding DR Horton standards and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will assist in scheduling, cost control, and maintaining site organization, with opportunities for career growth within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license and be willing to drive among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality and schedule adherence.
• Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors.
• Walk each completed home before homeowner walk-through and closing sign-off.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and ensure homeowner satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors and cost controls.
• Enforce site safety program and subcontractor compliance.
• Assist in managing materials to prevent damage, waste, and loss.
• Support construction schedule and deliver quality on time and within budget.
• Provide superior customer service during all phases of construction.
• Develop relations with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Develop knowledge of building codes, materials, and scheduling.
• In absence of Superintendent, maintain schedules and guidelines.
• Conduct business professionally to increase goodwill and profit.
