Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing a home construction community.

The role involves coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, overseeing cost controls, safety compliance, and customer walkthroughs to ensure a high-quality final product. The ideal candidate will assist in scheduling, inspections, and homeowner interactions, with a focus on timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to 2 years of related experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and be willing to drive among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Require minimum supervision and ability to create a systematic approach.
• Ability to converse with customers and management.
• Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure workmanship quality and schedule alignment.
• Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing to verify cleanliness and quality.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and additional walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors with quality, safety, scheduling and cost control.
