Job summary

IRAS Group in Florida seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations of a Marriott Select Service hotel. The AGM collaborates with the General Manager to ensure superior guest service, operational performance, and brand compliance.

This hands-on leader coaches departments, maintains staffing, monitors guest feedback, and drives revenue and cost control. Flexibility for weekends, evenings, and holidays is required. Marriott Select Service experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of hotel management or supervisory experience.
• Marriott Select Service experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in Front Office, Rooms Operations, or AGM responsibilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, and labor management.
• Ability to coach employees and maintain a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations alongside General Manager.
• Provide operational leadership to Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments.
• Maintain presence to ensure service and standards execution.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Support brand standards, brand inspections, and quality reviews.
• Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure staffing levels and assist scheduling and labor management.
• Monitor payroll, overtime, productivity, and expenses.
• Inspect property to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Work with Housekeeping and Maintenance on deficiencies and OOO rooms.
• Support revenue goals by controlling expenses and improving efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with policies and emergency protocols.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and cover shifts as needed.
