Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Breakfast. You will provide hands-on leadership to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to Marriott brand standards.

In this role you will mentor department leaders, manage staffing and budgets, and act as Manager on Duty during shifts. The AGM helps drive safety, quality, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with the daily operation of the dual brand hotel.
• Provide leadership and operational support to all hotel departments.
• Serve as the Manager on Duty and respond to guest issues and emergencies.
• Conduct property walks and inspections to address cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure departments have supplies, staffing, and resources to operate.
• Coordinate for high-occupancy periods and events.
• Promote a guest-focused culture and professional service.
• Review guest surveys and respond to complaints.
• Investigate recurring guest concerns and plan corrective actions.
• Empower staff to resolve issues while protecting the hotel's reputation and finances.
• Support improvements in guest satisfaction metrics and service quality.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of employees.
• Monitor attendance, conduct, and compliance with policies.
• Partner with HR on coaching, investigations, and employee relations.
• Promote respectful communication and teamwork across the team.
