Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager in the United States to own the ASC 740 provision and coordinate outsourced tax functions with external advisors and internal stakeholders.

The role centers on provision ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and driving tax efficiency across federal, state, and local levels while managing timelines and tax reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience with C-Corp federal and state tax compliance.
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.
• Experience in audits and tax authority interactions.
• Strong project management and coordination.
• Ability to operate independently in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual ASC 740 tax provision including current and deferred calculations.
• Perform provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Liaise with external tax advisors.
• Review federal and state income tax returns and workpapers.
• Oversee outsourced sales/use tax compliance processes.
• Coordinate tax processes with internal teams and third-party providers.
• Support audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Track regulatory changes and advise on tax implications.
