The Fremont Company is seeking a seasoned 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Rockford, OH manufacturing team. This role oversees daily production, staff supervision, quality control, and safe, efficient output.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in food manufacturing and a hands-on approach to operations. Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, ensuring material availability, and partnering with Quality and Maintenance to resolve issues.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in food processing or food manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and overseeing manufacturing equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple production lines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and workplace safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills and experience with production or workforce management systems.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and lead second-shift production employees to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Monitor production lines to meet quality, productivity, and output goals.
• Coordinate employee assignments, staffing needs, and break coverage.
• Review production schedules and ensure necessary materials and ingredients are available.
• Work closely with Quality and Maintenance to address production concerns and equipment issues.
• Oversee production line changeovers, equipment adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, and company safety procedures.
• Train and support employees on production processes, equipment operation, and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular production line walkthroughs to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Complete and review required production documentation, including downtime reports, inventory records, and quality checks.
• Communicate production updates, employee concerns, and operational needs to plant management.
• Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
