Job summary

Fresh Mark Inc. in Salem, Ohio, is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead hourly production teams in food processing and packaging, ensuring GMP and safety compliance. This exempt salaried role requires readiness for weekend work and shift pre-start duties.

The supervisor will oversee production lines, monitor quality and yields, control labor, and foster teamwork while driving efficiency and maintaining strong employee relations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of education, training and/or work experience related to business management, food production, manufacturing processes or related field.
• Availability to work OT/weekends as necessary.
• Ability to work first or second shift; report one hour prior to shift for start-up duties and stay after shift to complete reports and/or paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to hourly personnel engaged in manufacturing and processing of food products.
• Supervise production lines for food product processing and packaging in compliance with GMP, QA, safety, and employee relations.
• Maintain safety of all employees through training and enforcement of safety rules.
• Drive departmental efficiencies and maximize productivity.
• Monitor inventory levels and yields.
• Control labor costs including staffing and overtime.
• Monitor machinery to maintain quality and minimize downtime.
• Promote teamwork among employees.
