Job summary

University Health Associates in Morgantown, WV seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered Gynecologic/Oncologic care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. The APP assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages patients across the care continuum, and participates in education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the department’s discretion.
• APRNs must have RNFA certification from an AORN-approved program.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for Gynecology/Oncology patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Participates in daily rounds, consults, peri-procedural evaluations and first assist in the operative suite.
• Performs and communicates results of diagnostic tests following established guidelines.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care and coordinates discharge planning and follow-up.
• Documents plan of care and outcomes clearly in the medical record.
• Provides leadership and education to staff and participates in committee activities.
