Job summary

UHA University Health Associates seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to provide high-quality care for Gynecology/Oncology patients. The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a collaborative clinical team, participate in rounds, perioperative care, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include procedures, education of residents and staff, and adherence to clinical guidelines. West Virginia licensure and APRN certification are required or imminent.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing with APRN certification.
• Licensed or eligible for WV APRN/RN licensure.
• BLS; ALS training as required by department.
• Experience in Gynecology/Oncology preferred.
• PA path may require ARC-PA PA program and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for Gyn/Onc patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Perform rounds, consults, peri-procedural evaluations and first assist in procedures.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up as applicable.
• Document findings and plan of care clearly in medical records.
• Educate residents, students and staff; participate in clinical trials and protocol adherence.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and state regulations in all actions.
