Job summary

University Health Associates in Morgantown, WV is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as part of the interprofessional team. The APP will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, coordinate hospitalist teams, and support educational activities while maintaining regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include rounds, orders, care coordination, and discharge planning, with opportunities to teach residents and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required; ACLS training at department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for hospitalized patients within APP scope.
• Coordinate involvement of medical/surgical specialty teams to develop patient plans.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and peri-operative services as applicable.
• Lead rounds, assess patients, and document clinical findings in health records.
• Discharge planning and follow-up coordination for ambulatory care as needed.
• Educate residents, medical and nursing students, and staff on care protocols.
