Golds Gym DC Metro is seeking a Member Experience Team Member for the Van Ness location in Washington, DC. You will greet members, manage front desk operations, handle registrations, and support gym operations under supervision. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

The role involves answering calls, assisting guests, and coordinating with fitness staff. Physical stamina is required to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written).
• Able to multi-task and work a flexible schedule including holidays/weekends.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic understanding of cash handling and accounting principles.

Responsabilités

• Greets members and guests promptly to provide a friendly entrance and exit.
• Provides security and control over the front door and retail area.
• Checks members in using proper procedures.
• Monitors check-ins and notifies supervisor of delinquent accounts.
• Registers guests and directs them to appropriate staff.
• Directs guests and appointments to the right fitness consultant promptly.
• Answers phones professionally using proper greeting techniques.
• Takes messages with caller details and returns calls as needed.
• Registers telephone inquiries and transfers calls to Fitness Consultants.
• Follows up on inquiries to ensure proper appointment booking.
• Responds to member requests, inquiries and concerns immediately.
• Maintains neat appearance and proper uniform with nametag.
• Distributes keys, towels and materials as needed.
• Reserves time for classes and gym activities.
• Processes retail and concession sales.
• Attends staff meetings as directed.
• Cleans and maintains the Member Experience area according to standards.
• Performs gym walk-throughs as logged.
• Follows opening/closing procedures per training manual.
• Logs maintenance concerns and safety issues.
• Notifies management of incidents requiring reports.
• Works scheduled shifts and adheres to attendance policies.
• Performs other duties as directed by management including light cleaning.
