Job summary

Gold's Gym in Austin is seeking a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members, guests, and staff as they enter the gym and provide control of the front door location. This position will aid with member requests, inquiries about gym operations and policies, as well as perform various administrative duties as directed by the Gym General Manager.

As the first point of contact to our club, the Front Desk is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Organized, structured, and friendly with a fitness mindset.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of basic cash processing procedures and POS usage.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and direct them efficiently.
• Check members in and process registrations at the front desk.
• Handle front desk phone inquiries and messages for management.
• Process retail and concession sales and maintain inventory.
• Assist with class registrations and member account updates.
• Maintain a neat front desk area and report maintenance concerns.
• Support gym staff and ensure safety and security at the entrance.
• Attend staff meetings and follow company policies as directed.
