Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year previous front desk experience, preferably in a large volume property.
• Hotel computer experience.
• Ability to type 30-35 wpm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents the hotel to guests throughout all stages of the stay.
• Determines reservation status and length of stay; assists with registration and room assignment.
• Verifies payment methods and follows credit-checking procedures.
• Maintains front desk records and communicates information to hotel staff.
• Coordinates with housekeeping and maintenance for room status, requests and repairs.
• Maintains room key storage and access to safes; supports safety procedures.
• Sales-minded: presents options to guests and uses suggestive selling to promote services.
• Knows room types, availability, and hotel activities.
