Job summary

The Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Guest Service Representative I (Flex) to assist guests at the Patuxent River lodging facility in Maryland. Qualifications

• One year of general office clerical experience.
• One year progressively responsible experience related to the position.
• Study completed in a college/university above the high school level may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with a welcoming, positive attitude.
• Answer guest questions about lodging facilities and local attractions.
• Process room reservations, payments, check-in/check-out and patron verification.
• Operate a multi-line telephone system and relay messages as needed.
• Maintain front desk records, balance shift transactions and manage keys securely.
• Assist with breakfast service setup and break down when required.
• Coordinate with Front Office Manager and AGM on reservations and guest needs.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues or escalate as necessary.
