Job summary

University of North Carolina Charlotte Guest Services Coordinator will oversee the Student Activity Center and Venue Management, supervising 40+ student employees to ensure high-quality experiences for guests and staff.

This role serves as Administrator on Duty during non-event evening hours, coordinates event support, and maintains safety, access, and daily facilities operations in alignment with university policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in the area of Student Affairs, event management, or other related fields with a strong background in customer service, safety, and the student environment.
• Experience with the hiring, training, and management of student staff and interns, requiring patience and adaptability to frequent changes in student staff scheduling.
• Experience/knowledge in ADA, building codes, and/or crowd management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with, supervise, and lead a varied population.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily function of the facility.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate 40+ student staff.
• Oversee facility use and access, including evening and weekend supervision.
• Complete staff scheduling for SAC hours and staff coverage.
• Provide event support as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and facilities.
• Serve as Administrator on Duty during non-event evening hours.
