Job summary

The University of North Florida's Herbert University Center is seeking an Event Services Coordinator to serve as the primary on-site representative during evening and weekend events. You will deliver exceptional customer service, coordinate event support services, and ensure a safe, event-ready facility.

As the main point of contact for clients, guests, vendors, and campus partners, you will make informed decisions, oversee event and facility operations, and provide basic AV support and staff

Qualifications

• Background check required
• Credit check may be required
• Designated as a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX

Responsibilities

• Review event schedules, room diagrams, and service requests to ensure readiness.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, guests, vendors, and participants.
• Provide responsive customer service and coordinate resources for successful event execution.
• Monitor events to troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with event setup modifications and AV support for standard meeting technologies.
• Open/close the facility and coordinate with custodial and maintenance teams.
• Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and event logs.
• Supervise student employees and event support staff during assigned shifts.
