Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Manager at the Courtyard Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. You will supervise Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed/Transportation staff, ensuring courteous, efficient service and maximizing room revenue while maintaining Highgate standards.

Responsibilities include interviewing staff, training, payroll coordination, and daily operational oversight of front desk systems.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 2-year college degree with 3+ years of related experience, or a 4-year degree with 1+ year.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Long hours may be required.
• Must be able to multitask and communicate effectively with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests, problems, or complaints promptly and courteously with follow-up.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline Guest Services staff per SOPs.
• Carry a cell phone at all times and ensure availability.
• Prepare and conduct Guest Services interviews per SOPs.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Guest Services staff.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by daily status reviews and rate monitoring.
• Attend daily and monthly Rooms Merchandizing meetings.
• Participate in required M.O.D. program as scheduled.
• Coordinate operations of Front Office computer systems and reports.
