Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a Guest Services Manager at a 645-room Honolulu property on Kalakaua Avenue. The role supports Front Office leaders, resolves guest issues, and helps maximize occupancy and revenue while maintaining high standards of service.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of hotel experience, and supervisory aptitude. Windows, spreadsheets and word processing skills are essential. Long hours and physical work are involved.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows, corporate spreadsheets and word processors.
• Experience supervising hotel staff is preferred.
• Ability to work long hours and stand for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests at the Front Desk with courteous, efficient service.
• Respond to requests, problems, and complaints with urgency and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Assist in staff morale and training initiatives for Guest Services personnel.
• Maintain professional relationships across departments and communicate effectively.
• Operate Front Office systems, run reports, and support emergency procedures.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and proper logging of messages and packages.
