Job summary

The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is seeking a front desk professional to provide a friendly, efficient check-in/out experience and to assist guests with information on hotel amenities and events.

You will sell rooms using strong customer service and yield management, resolve inquiries, and handle billing and key distribution while maintaining accurate guest accounts. Flexible shifts and continuous customer interaction are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 6 months front desk experience.
• Basic office machines and telephone use; 45 WPM typing; 10-key experience a plus.
• Must communicate with guests and staff in English.
• Knowledge of hotel key system.
• Flexible shifts.
• Stand for long periods.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Add, subtract, and audit accounts; money handling and electronic draft system.
• Operate LMS, CMS, and Hot Sauce/Espresso systems.
• Must obtain/maintain required gaming regulations certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Provide guests with information on hotel, amenities, events, and local attractions.
• Sell rooms with excellent customer service and yield management.
• Resolve guest inquiries and complaints; complete registration forms and input data.
• Retrieve and distribute room keys; balance transactions at end of shift.
• Calculate and print bills; accept payments by cash or credit.
• Communicate with Executive Hosts about stays.
• Run reports using hotel systems; handle computer outages as needed.
• Follow management instructions and perform other duties as assigned.
