Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Harrisburg is seeking a Front Office Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check-ins/outs, and provide attentive service to maximize occupancy and guest satisfaction. You will manage cash handling, rate queries, and front desk operations to ensure a smooth guest experience.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (college coursework helpful), hotel or customer service experience, and strong communication with the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• College coursework in related field is helpful.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Must multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Regular attendance per hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, and entertainment.
• Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of rates, packages and promotions.
• Be familiar with all in-house groups and dates.
• Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Operate the Front Desk computer system and related software.
• Balance and prepare shift closing paperwork.
• Assist guests with safe deposit boxes.
