Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago is seeking a Welcome Desk Attendant to greet members and guests, provide information, and deliver friendly service at the front desk. This is a part-time role with evenings and weekends required, located in the Kroc Center on the South Side.

You will process sales through Club Automation, manage the cash drawer, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while assisting in directing guests and answering questions about

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service with data entry duties.
• Experience with a computer-based work environment.
• Familiarity with Web based, and smartphone applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.
• Input all sales and data into the POS system (Club Automation).
• Maintain and manage the cash drawer; open till and cash out per policies.
• Secure the POS area at close of shift.
• Maintain neat, clean public and restricted areas and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist and direct members and guests in moving about the facility to maximize service.
