Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago is seeking a Welcome Desk Attendant to provide friendly front-desk customer service. You will handle check-ins, answer questions, and assist guests with information on programs and events.

This regular part-time role requires basic cash handling, data entry, and familiarity with computer-based work environments. Prior experience with web and smartphone apps is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service with data entry duties.
• Experience with a computer-based work environment.
• Familiarity with Web based, and smart phone application preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests at the Welcome Desk.
• Greet members and guests enthusiastically and cheeerfully; answer questions about events and programs.
• Input all sales and data into the Point of Sales system (Club Automation) and manage cash drawer.
• Close out till following Salvation Army policies; secure POS area.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and restricted areas; ensure guest safety and report hazards.
• Assist in filing client records and keeping information current.
