Job summary

BayCare in the Tampa Bay area seeks a Guest Services Ambassador passionate about outstanding customer service. This full-time role supports Bloomingdale Health Hub in Valrico, FL, ensuring guests receive a welcoming, efficient experience across reception and scheduling, with a focus on compassionate hospitality.

Shift pattern is Mon-Thu 6am-8:30pm, Fri 6am-6:30pm, Sat 6am-12pm, with occasional weekend work. Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as the guests' liaison to all assigned services.
• Provide hospitality-focused service ensuring positive guest experiences and meeting needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
• Address and escalate issues to facility leaders as needed.
• Proficient in reception, registration, scheduling, and related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Function as the guests' liaison to all assigned services.
• Hospitality-focused and critical to ensuring that each patient, client, patron or visitor is able to enjoy a positive experience and have their personal needs met while taking advantage of the variety of health-related and retail services offered by the facility.
• Act as an advocate for the patient and must communicate effectively with patients, visitors, health system leaders, staff, medical office personnel and referring physicians.
• Will need to address & resolve issues, recognizing those requiring escalation to facility leaders and/or manager.
• May or may not require performing all job specific functions listed within this description. Must possess advanced computer skills and is proficient in all of the following modalities/computer applications as appropriate: reception, registration, scheduling, financial counseling, insurance verification, waiting room management, and document management.

Requirements:

• Proficient (within 6 months of hire) in waiting room management system (overall) and registration and scheduling of at least one service-line (as per management directive).
• Required HS diploma or GED, Preferred Education is Associates Degree in Hospitality Management.
• Required Experience is 1 year Customer Service or 1 year Hospitality.
• Required Specific Skills also includes: Insurance Terminology use and understanding.
• Bilingual/Spanish/English strongly preferred
