Summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and patient support services in a high volume providers office to include revenue cycle operations to ensure high-quality customer service. Registers and checks in patients, obtains and updates patient information, schedules patient appointments, assists with patient inquiries, may arrange for additional services, collects and posts payments, assists with patient billing questions, ensures completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out. Accepts transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines. Schedules patient with appropriate provider, answers phones and respond within timeframes defined by departmental guidelines. Obtains complete and accurate patient registration information according department standards. Reviews and confirms all registration information is accurate at each appointment and makes any required updates. Consistently reviews cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment request worklist throughout the day. Reviews daily schedules for availability and coordinates with onsite supervisor to ensure providers schedules are at capacity. Performs other duties as assigned. Travel may be required.
