Job summary

DoubleTree Phoenix Midtown is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, and support pre-registration and reservations. The role emphasizes accuracy in posting charges and upholding hotel standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle cash and card transactions, maintain reservations with special requests, and apply correct rates and discounts. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Team player who provides great experiences for guests.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (6-8 hours).
• Occasional standing and walking; fine motor skills and keyboarding.
• Ability to lift and move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and check them in and out promptly and professionally.
• Assist in pre-registration and block reservations when necessary.
• Post all charges accurately and promptly.
• Maintain working knowledge of Front Office system and daily transactions.
• Manage cash handling including cash, checks and credit card payments.
• Review reservations with special requests and block rooms accordingly.
• Know hotel rates, discounts and how to apply them.
• Take same-day reservations and follow cancellation/relocation procedures.
