Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Guest Service Agent to manage registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message services, while delivering outstanding guest service. You will advocate for the hotel and create memorable experiences, building relationships that encourage guest return.

Responsibilities include processing arrivals/departures, answering calls, coordinating with departments, and maintaining daily cash and credit card transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Knowledge of local area, services, attractions, and events is advantageous.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, with complete and accurate information.
• Complete all items on shift checklists (AM, PM, Overnight).
• Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit all lost & found articles with a completed report.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Verify credit limit report.
• Monitor room availability throughout the day.
• Review daily selling status using yield management system.
• Attend department meetings once a month.
• Communicate by telephone/radio with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
