The Fresh Market in Avon, CT is seeking a Guest Service Specialist to lead front-end operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and uphold brand standards. You will supervise cash handling, guest flow, and team coordination to keep the store running smoothly.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and hospitality, with opportunities to advance within a warm, community-focused environment and participate in our broader guest service program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred Qualifications: Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests and team members on products, services, and meal solutions.
• Manage frontend guest flow and assist cashiers for frictionless checkout.
• Uphold cash office procedures and cash handling, including management of cash and safes.
• Direct and supervise the guest service team to maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
• Support execution of digital fulfillment orders with speed and accuracy.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach at the front-end and storewide.
• Assist in managing the department, inventories, and team to minimize product loss.
