Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Rooms Controller to manage daily room assignments, coordinate guest preferences, and support front office operations. This role connects Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• Front office experience in a hotel
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive responsibilities
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily room assignments for guest arrivals, VIPs, special requests, and returning guests
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure room readiness
• Pre-block VIP and special request rooms using arrival reports and group information
• Review and resolve duplicate reservations, no-shows, and due-outs daily
• Monitor and update Out-of-Order and Out-of-Service room statuses
• Track and process amenity requests and ensure accurate billing
• Monitor master accounts for proper check-in, check-out, and extensions
• Ensure room changes are communicated to the appropriate departments
• Assist Front Desk during high-traffic periods and provide guest service support
• Prepare and distribute daily occupancy and group status reports
• Forecast room availability up to three days in advance and help manage overbooking risk
• Communicate guest preferences clearly to operations teams
• Assist with remote or group check-ins and rooming lists
• Maintain a clean back office and ensure supplies readiness
• Adhere to attendance standards and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals
