Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Rooms Controller to manage room assignments and guest preferences while supporting front office operations. You’ll act as the connection point between departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive in problem solving, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with weekend and holiday availability welcomed. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of front office or reservations experience in a hotel environment.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive responsibilities; Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily room assignments for all guest arrivals, VIPs, special requests, and returning guests.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure timely room readiness.
• Pre-block VIP and special request rooms using arrival reports and group information.
• Review and resolve duplicate reservations, no-shows, and due-outs daily.
• Monitor and update Out-of-Order and Out-of-Service room statuses.
• Track and process amenity requests (rollaways, microwaves, cribs, etc.) and ensure accurate billing.
• Monitor all master accounts for proper check-in, check-out, and extension as required.
• Communicate all guest preferences, special services, and group requirements clearly to operations teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized back office and ensure readiness of supplies.
