Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking an energetic Reservation Clerk to join our hospitality team. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a seamless reservation experience and accurate room assignments using our property management system.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, attention to detail, and adherence to cash-handling policies while supporting front-desk operations and guest satisfaction in an in-person work environment.

Competenze

• Administrative experience required: 2 years.

Mansioni

• Register members and guests and assign rooms, honoring special requests when possible.
• Assist in pre-registration and room blocking for registration purposes.
• Follow proper credit, cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Monitor room status information and know room locations, types, and rates.
• Coordinate status updates with housekeeping at check-outs and special requests.
• Manage front-desk key system and operate front-office equipment.
• Process member and guest check-outs and post charges to accounts.
• Provide telephone etiquette and guest service.
• Coordinate guestroom maintenance with engineering and maintenance departments.
• Report unusual occurrences to the front office manager.
